H.I.M. To Play Seven Shows In Helsinki
April 11, 2003Finnish goth metallers H.I.M. have lined up a seven-show run at Helsinki's Semifinal Club during April 24-30. There will be 120 tickets at 10 euros each available from the Tiketti outlet. Tiketti's email is [email protected] and phone in Finland is 0600 11616 (66 cents per minute plus local charge).
H.I.M.'s new album, "Love Metal", is due on April 14 through BMG Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights" marks a return to a heavier sound for the group, who were criticized by some for pursuing an overly pop-flavored direction on their last effort. "Love Metal" was mixed by Tim Palmer (OZZY OSBOURNE, SEPULTURA) at studios in Los Angeles and London and features 10 songs, including "Buried Alive by Love", the video to which was directed in December by Bam Margera of "Jackass" fame. A second video to the first single, "Funeral of Hearts", was shot in Finland in January with director Stefan Lindfors.
